Custom Dock Construction
Heavy Metal Dock & Marine Construction designs and builds custom docks for residential and commercial waterfront properties throughout Washington, Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. We fabricate structural components in-house, operate our own marine equipment and handle pile driving as part of the same project — which means the dock is built as a complete system rather than assembled from whatever parts are available.
Built for Your Waterfront
Every waterfront is different. The water depth, bottom type, wave exposure, seasonal water-level variation and how the dock will be used all affect what the right dock looks like for a given site. We design around those conditions rather than selling a standard product and hoping it fits.
Fixed Docks
Fixed docks are anchored to the bottom with driven pilings and are the most common dock type for residential waterfront properties. They're stable, durable and well-suited to sites where the water level doesn't vary significantly. Heavy Metal handles pile driving in-house, so the foundation and the dock structure are designed and built together.
Floating Docks
Floating docks rise and fall with the water level, making them the right choice for sites with significant seasonal variation or tidal influence. We build floating dock systems using aluminum framing and commercial-grade flotation, with custom gangways to connect the dock to shore.
In-House Fabrication
Heavy Metal fabricates custom aluminum and steel components in-house. Gangways, framing members, brackets and specialty hardware are built to the dimensions the project requires rather than sourced from a catalog. This matters when your site has unusual geometry or conditions that a standard product isn't designed for.
Covered Docks & Canopies
We design and build covered dock structures and canopies as part of complete dock construction projects. A covered dock protects your boat from the elements and extends the usable life of the dock structure itself.
